The giant ape depicted below holding a gold Volkswagen Beetle over its head can be seen at Pioneer Auto Sales, Inc, located at the intersection of Maple Street and Route 7 in Leicester, Vermont. (It's fairly hard to miss.) And, yes, that's a real Volkswagen Beetle.
Note: Pioneer Auto Sales' street address is 2829 U.S. Route 7, Brandon, Vermont, but the ape is physically in the town of Leicester, north of Brandon. The ape is at the intersection of Route 7 and Old Route 7, a little ways north of the Leicester village center along Route 7.
And, yes, the ape has a name. Apparently the folks at Pioneer Auto Sales call it "Queen Connie". See this article for more information.
