Joel K. 'Jay' Furr was baptized into the United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 7, 2000 at First United Methodist Church of Burlington, Vermont.  Pastors Clark Callender and David Murphy presided over the cermony.  In the image above, Jay's wife, Carole, is at left; Pastor Clark is at right, and Pastor David is mostly obscured by Pastor Clark's arm.  (The photo is courtesy Jack Bremer.)

Immediately after the baptism, Jay and Carole and several other new members became members of the First United Methodist Church congregation.  Jay and Carole's sponsors were Hans and Kathy Heinkel.
