Climbing Mount Mansfield's Chin: June 21, 2003

Lots of people do it every year, including small children, so it's not exactly a major accomplishment, but nonetheless, we finally DID IT!   We climbed from Underhill State Park, elevation 1750 or so, to the top of Mount Mansfield, elevation 4383 feet.  That's the highest point in Vermont.  (Mount Mansfield has several "summits" -- the Nose, the Chin, the Adam's Apple, etc., spaced out along a ridge like the features of a man lying on his back, but the Chin is the highest, and that's what we went for.)

Too bad it only took us five years after moving to Vermont to make the effort, but hey.
